CACCA the Association

The Chicago Area Camera Clubs Association (founded 1936) is a progressive photographic organization composed of about forty clubs and over 1000 people who are actively engaged in every phase of photography.

CACCA is an Association open to all Camera Clubs located in the Chicago Area, including southern Wisconsin and Indiana that wish to actively participate in CACCA activities.

The objective of CACCA is the development of fellowship among member Clubs and promotion of photographic interests and accomplishments.

Camera Clubs may become members of CACCA by application to the membership chairman and acceptance by the Board of Directors. A delegate represents each club at monthly meetings that are held at the Christian Church of Arlington Heights, 333 W. Thomas St., Arlington Heights, IL 60004, on the second Saturday of the month, October through May.

On the second Saturday of each month CACCA Clubs and their members compete in Print and Digital image judging. Board meeting begins at 10:30am followed by the Delegates meeting at 11:30pm. Program will begin at 12:00. (See monthly program schedule.) Competitions begin immediately following the monthly program around 1:00pm.  Anyone is welcome to come see our monthly program and watch our competitions.

Interclub competitions are scheduled in Large and Small Monochrome and Color Prints and Pictorial Digital Projected Images. Individuals can compete in Nature Prints, Photojournalism Prints, Creative Digital Projected Images and Portrait Prints in a series of three monthly contests.

During the year we hold our Annual Banquet where Best of Year, Salon and Special Awards are given out.
