Club Base Information

St. Mark Camera Club
The St. Mark Camera club was organized by Willie F. Griffin, Sr. in 1982, for the purpose of discovering how to take beautiful, imaginative and evocative photographs. The club draws its membership from the church as well as the community.

Meetings are held on Wednesdays 1 PM - September through June at St. Mark United Methodist Church, 8441 S. St. Lawrence.

The Camera Club emphasizes learning about camera techniques and improving photographic skills through classes, workshops, and practice. After taking photos, members edit, enlarge, and mount their selected images and enter them in monthly competitions, anyone interested in photography is welcomed and encouraged to start at their own level of experience.

We have 20 members with various levels of skills from advanced to beginner.

Camera Club members display their most outstanding images at its Annual Photographic Exhibit at the church.

The club also assists St. Mark UMC by providing an on-going photographic record of church events.
